A Trip To Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary
A Trip To Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary Veda Vyasa D.A.V Public School, Vikas Puri organized a trip to Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary for its primary wing from 18 to 20 Oct. 2013. Ranthambore National park is known for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to see these majestic predators in its natural habitat. It is known for its tiger population and is one of the Project Tiger reserves. Other major wild animals found here are- leopard, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, hyena, sloth bear and spotted deers. It is also home to wide variety of trees, plants, birds and reptiles. It also has one of the largest banyan trees in India. Some 40 children from Classes 3 to 5 went on this educational excursion escorted by a team of teachers and Supervisory head Mrs. Vandana Chawla. They boarded Jan Shatabdi at 1320 hrs on 18 October 2013 from Hazrat Nizamuddin Rly Stn. On reaching Sawai Madhopur late in the evening, the group checked in Hotel Ankur Resort. After snacks, students danced on the tunes of DJ and the day ended with a lavish dinner. On 19 Oct., students visited Ranthambore Fort and Ganesh Temple. They were mesmerized by the panoramic beauty and glory of the fort. After lunch, students were taken on Ranthambore Wildlife Safari in Canters. They were excited and enchanted to see the flora and fauna of this vast jungle. In the evening at the bonfire, the supervisory head Mrs. Chawla shared and gave a lot of interesting information about the Tiger to the children. At the end of the day, children enjoyed the Rajasthani folk music and had a gala time. The trip was very enriching and fruitful for the students
