Students of class VI to XI participated in different activities during Environment week and made beautiful Posters,Slogans,Magazines and Graffiti.They were artistically displayed at reception area. Veda Vyasa D.A.V.Public School, Vikas Puri organised an Environment Week with gusto, believing on the fact that every effort makes a lot of difference. The purpose of the three days long celebration was to develop awareness among the children, which will definitely creep into the society for better world. An array of activities were held during the week. Class IX-XII made collage with pictures clicked by students only in school premises during Nature Photography. They also had English debate on the topic, "A Healthy Ecology is the basis for a Healthy Economy ". Students of VIII and IX made 'Paryavaran Patrika ' compiling photographs, articles, poems and facts. Students of VI -VII made placards with slogans on various environmental issues. On the second day class XII prepared Banners on the topic, "Living in Harmony with Nature ". Class XI made Graffiti Design on the topic, 'Innovative Techniques for Sustainable Development '. Children of IX -XI presented Nukkad Nataks on Environment Conservation. Bulletin boards were prepared by every House with the theme, 'Innovative Techniques for a Greener World '. VI - VIII students used their creativity and innovation to make best out of the waste. Hindi Debate was held among the students of VII -VIII. Cleanliness drive was undertaken in all the classes at the end of second day. On the final day, principal Mrs. Chitra Nakra, motivated children by planting a sapling. A display of students' creativity and a rally was held on the final day. It was a treat for the eyes to see many young minds working towards spreading awareness for the greener earth. It was an effort of the future citizens to conserve the resources of planet earth.
